WEBB
for
mayor
- The public should know where
our money is being spent and
why. The mayor’s salary needs
to be decreased significantly to
align properly with the overall
budget. The city’s social media
needs to be fully visible and
accessible to the public. City
leaders must do the work of the
people. This cannot be done
without creating an environment
that encourages full participation
for ALL of Clarksdale’s citizens.
The Mission
- Being accountable to the community
is a must. City leaders must be held
accountable to do what is in the best
interest of the community above all
else. We are accountable to use
resources wisely to ensure the future
growth and sustainability of
Clarksdale. We must commit to
keeping Clarksdale safe and clean.
These commitments will help to
ensure that Clarksdale will be a
desirable place to live and to do
business.
Accountability
Transparency
- The office of mayor must create
an environment where all our
city’s groups and leaders can
work together for a better and
brighter future. We cannot
promote selfish agendas and
short-sighted goals that only
benefit a few. We must work for
the benefit of all. The mayor must
work to bring Clarksdale together
as ONE community working to
make Clarksdale a shining star in
the Mississippi Delta.
Unity
As other small communities in the Mississippi are experiencing
growth in population, jobs, and educational opportunities
Clarksdale as a whole has not. In these key areas I want to
work to revitalize our city. I would like to build a strong and
diverse team of the best in our community to accomplish this
task of renewal and even rebirth in these areas. We as the
people of Clarksdale already have the grit, imagination, and
intelligence to build a path towards the growth and flourishing
of Clarksdale for many years to come. I have a track record for
bringing people together for the greater good and now I want
to do that for the ENTIRE city. Together let's build a Clarksdale
that is better than ever!
